A LASTING IMAGE: Directed by Matt T. Gaiden. An older blind man wants to see his daughter on her wedding day.

Matt Gaiden is a filmmaker from Chicago and a film/directing student at Columbia College. Despite his young age, he has already worked on numerous projects from the tiny student and indie shorts to big Hollywood productions. Matt would like to thank his cast Olivia, Chad and Erin, as well as his best friend Chris, his mom Irene and sister Claudia without them, he says, this film would not be possible. His film, A Lasting Image has also been nominated for the Take One Film Festival in Chicago.

LIGHT LIES: Directed by M. Merritt. An avant-garde voyage of personal discovery and enlightenment. Are you inside looking out outside looking in?

M. Merritt While working toward his bachelors degree at the University of Arkansas Little Rock, Merritt published his second book of essays, stories and poems entitled Coalescence. A year later he moved to New York where we received his diploma from the New York Film Academy. Light Lies is the first of a trilogy of black & white 16mm/MiniDV/8mm shorts, written, directed and produced by Knowstrings, Inc. Looking for the Man, the second short film in the series, is currently touring the festival and television circuits. Merritt is also an artist-in-residency with the Arkansas Arts Councils Artists in Education Program.

MONITOR: Directed by Rodney Bowie, Kerrie Diaz, and Steve Stone. Late night security cameras capture something unexpected a murder.

Rodney Bowie is a graphic designer at Southern Missouri Containers in Conway, Arkansas.. He is a writer, actor, and graphic designer for the improv comedy troop Drinking From The Carton. Kerrie Diaz is a graphic designer at Garver Engineers in Little Rock, Arkansas. Her film credits include 10 Seconds (production assistant); Skullduggery (writer); Monitor (co-director/writer/producer). Steve Stone is a Director of Media Productions for a local cable company in Conway, Arkansas. His film credits include Adult American Males, director; Alone in My Skin, writer/director; Skullduggery, director; Take Off, writer/producer.

REDEMPTION: Directed by Pete Brooks. Written by Beth Brooks. A comedy about the dilemma faced by a young woman during communion at her church.

Pete Brooks Ever since Pete started making home movies at the age of five, he has been fascinated by film. Now, at the age of 15, he is starting to get a little more serious. In the spring of 2006, Peter won the Student Cam Documentary Award for a film on internet piracy. This is his first, non-documentary short. Beth Brooks (no relation to the director) is active in community theatre productions in Fayetteville, Arkansas, and is a weekly participant in the Arkansas Playwrights Workshop.

Lorenzo Balderas, 22, born and raised in the town of Malvern, AR, is a Senior Digital Media and Design Major at Arkansas State University. His brother Juan instilled in him early on a love for movies and move making. Joshua Mink, a Senior Radio/TV major at Arkansas State University hails from Bay, Arkansas. After attending the University of Southern California, he came back to Arkansas to finish his degree. He hopes to become a successful film editor. Brothers in Film is a film production endeavor started by these two friends with a passion for making movies.
